How Oversine, Inc. (“Versine,” “we” or “us”) works within financial regulation: what Versine is, who handles your money, and the policies that protect you.
1. What Versine is
Versine is software. It is not a bank or a money services business, and it never takes custody of your money or transmits it for you. Your balance is in a wallet you own and control, and every payment is approved by you on your own device, one at a time or through a payment rule you approved.
Your balance is dollars held as USDC, a digital dollar issued by Circle. It is not a bank deposit and is not insured by the FDIC. See Section 3 of our Terms of Service.
2. Who handles your money
Money moves in and out of Versine only through licensed partners, under their own licenses and compliance programs:
| Partner | What it does |
|---|---|
| Bridge | Verifies your identity and pays out to your bank account |
| Coinflow, with Brale | Adds money to your balance by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank account |
| Coinbase | Provides the wallet infrastructure behind your balance, and Apple Pay and Google Pay top-ups through Coinbase |
| Circle | Issues USDC, the digital dollar your balance holds |
Their licenses, and where to look them up, are on Our Providers’ Licenses.
3. Identity, sanctions and money laundering
- Every customer verifies their identity with Bridge, which also screens them against sanctions and politically exposed persons lists.
- We screen customers and payments against the U.S. Treasury’s OFAC sanctions list, and block requests from embargoed countries and regions.
- We monitor payments for unusual activity and report suspicious activity to our licensed partners.
- Our Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Policy sets out these controls in full.
4. Fraud and location controls
You approve every payment with your passkey. Adding money has limits, card payments are screened for fraud, and sign-up and adding money are open only in the United States. Our Fraud and Location Controls explain each control and when it runs.
5. AI agents
AI agents you connect can act only within the permissions you approve. They can never change their own permissions, and you can disconnect any agent at any time.
6. Your protections
- Payments you didn’t make. See our Unauthorized Payments Policy.
- Refunds. See our Refund Policy.
- Your data. See our Privacy Policy.
7. Questions and complaints
Email support@versine.com with any question or complaint, and we reply within 2 business days. For a service one of our partners provides, you can also contact that partner directly, or your state’s financial regulator.
