Fraud and Location Controls
Last updated: October 29, 2026
Oversine, Inc. (“Versine,” “we” or “us”) verifies who you are before money moves, has you approve every payment, screens every card payment, limits how much money can be added, and checks where requests come from. This page explains each control and when it runs.
1. Identity before money
You can add money through Coinflow, or send payments, only once your identity is verified. Until Bridge approves it, those options are not available.
- Bridge verifies your legal name, date of birth, residential address and Social Security number, and screens you against sanctions and politically exposed persons lists.
- Socure verifies your phone number with a one-time code, and finds identity details for you to confirm.
- Versine screens your name and date of birth against the U.S. Treasury’s OFAC sanctions list (the Specially Designated Nationals list) when you sign up and whenever you change your profile.
- Your verified details are your billing details. The name and address we send to Coinflow for a card payment always come from your verified profile, never from what is typed at checkout.
You must be 18 or older and a U.S. resident in a state we serve, and you can have only one account. See our Terms of Service.
2. Sign-in and payment approval
- No passwords. You sign in with a code sent to your email, with Google, Apple or GitHub, or with your passkey.
- Your passkey approves every payment. Each payment from your balance is approved with the passkey on your device (Face ID, Touch ID or your device’s screen lock), either one at a time or through a payment rule you approved in advance. AI agents you connect can pay only within the payment rules you approved, and cannot change their own permissions.
- The mobile app locks. It asks for Face ID (or your phone’s fingerprint or face unlock) when you open it and when you come back after 60 seconds away. The lock is on by default.
3. Card checks
These checks apply to top-ups through Coinflow.
- Fraud screening and chargeback protection. Every card, Apple Pay and Google Pay top-up goes through Coinflow’s fraud screening and is covered by Coinflow’s chargeback protection. We never override a payment Coinflow declines.
- 3D Secure. For card top-ups over $50, we ask your card issuer to check that it is you (for example, with a code or your bank’s app). Your issuer or Coinflow can also check smaller top-ups.
- Address check. The billing address checked with your card issuer is the address on your verified profile.
4. Limits on adding money
These limits apply to money you add through Coinflow. We check them when you start a top-up and again when you pay.
| Account | Each top-up | Any 7 days | Any 30 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| New: the first 60 days, or any account with a dispute or fraud alert | $5 to $250 | $500 | $1,500 |
| Established: 60 days or older, with no dispute or fraud alert ever | $5 to $1,000 | No separate limit | $5,000 |
Limits count the amount you add, before fees, across top-ups that are pending or complete. Top-ups that fail or that you do not finish do not count.
5. Attempt limits
- At most 3 declined card attempts per account per hour, and 5 per 24 hours.
- At most 10 top-ups started per account per 24 hours.
- At most 3 identity verification submissions per IP address per day.
Over a limit, we refuse the request and tell you why.
6. Location checks
Versine is for people in the United States. We check location by IP address, using AWS WAF (the web application firewall of our cloud provider, Amazon Web Services) and Coinflow. We never ask for your device’s location.
| When | What we check |
|---|---|
| When you create your account and verify your identity, and whenever you change your profile | Requests from outside the United States are blocked, and so are requests through VPNs, proxies, Tor and hosting providers (AWS’s anonymous IP list) |
| Every time you add money | The same checks, run by AWS. Coinflow also checks that your IP address and your verified address are in the United States |
| Every request to our servers, including every payment you approve | Requests from embargoed countries and regions are blocked: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine |
Your residential address must also be in a state we serve.
7. Monitoring and freezes
We freeze an account’s payment features at once when Coinflow reports a suspected fraudulent card payment, when a chargeback is opened or lost, or when a bank debit is returned or disputed.
- A frozen account cannot send money, pay out, create claim links or run scheduled payments. The money stays in the account holder’s own wallet.
- Further top-ups through Coinflow are blocked too.
- We open a case, alert our team, and email the account holder that their account is under review and that they can reach us at support@versine.com.
- A compliance reviewer closes the case and lifts the freeze once the account holder confirms the payment was theirs.
We also email a receipt for every top-up through Coinflow and every payout to a bank account, so you can spot anything you did not do. To report a payment, see our Unauthorized Payments Policy.
