Versine for AI assistants

Versine’s MCP server lets an AI assistant, like Claude or ChatGPT, check your balance, find your contacts, pay people and ask them for money for you. You decide what each assistant may do, and any payment you haven’t allowed ahead of time waits for you to approve it in the Versine app.
1. Before you start
- A Versine account, set up in the Versine app. Versine is for US residents 18 and older.
- An assistant that supports remote MCP servers (custom connectors), such as Claude or ChatGPT.
2. Connect an assistant
- In your assistant’s connector settings, add Versine from its directory, or add a custom connector with this URL:
https://mcp.versine.com/ - Sign in with your Versine account when asked.
- Choose what the assistant may do (section 3), then allow it.
The server uses OAuth 2.1 sign-in and the Streamable HTTP transport. Your assistant never sees your password or your passkey.
3. What an assistant may do
Each assistant gets only the permissions you give it, and you can change them at any time on the Agents page of the Versine app. An assistant can never change its own permissions.

4. Approvals and limits
- You approve payments. A payment waits for you to approve it in the Versine app, unless it goes to someone you trust and fits your limits. Only you can trust someone, in the app.
- Your limits apply. Every payment counts against your account’s limits, whichever assistant sends it.
- Nothing moves twice. Each payment carries a key the assistant makes up, so a repeated call returns the first result instead of paying again.
- You can disconnect. On the Agents page of the Versine app, open the assistant and tap Disconnect. It loses access at once.
5. Tools
These are the tools the server offers. Each one needs the permission listed, and an assistant without it is told so.

7. Privacy
An assistant sees only what its permissions allow, and never your contacts’ phone numbers or email addresses. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, and our Terms of Service apply to payments an assistant sends for you. Your assistant’s own privacy policy covers what it keeps, for example Anthropic’s or OpenAI’s.
