Verification texts
How Versine, operated by Oversine, Inc., texts one-time verification codes on behalf of AI agents.
What these texts are
AI agents (apps that act for you, such as an assistant that signs you in to websites) use Versine to confirm that a phone number belongs to you. When you ask an agent to verify your number, Versine texts you a one-time code, which you type back into the agent. A message looks like this:
123456 is your Instinct verification code. Don’t share it with anyone. Sent by Versine.
These texts are only verification codes. We never send marketing, promotions or anything else, and we don’t send a text you didn’t ask for. Never share a code: Versine and the agent will never ask you for it.
How you agree to a text
You enter your phone number in the agent’s app and ask for a code. The agent tells you, next to the number field, that a code will be texted before anything is sent. For example:
Verify your phone
We’ll text a one-time code to this number from Versine, on behalf of Instinct. Message and data rates may apply. See the Terms and Privacy Policy.
How often
One text each time you ask for a code. If you don’t ask, you won’t get one. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.

Replies to these texts aren’t read. For help, contact us below. If you text STOP to the number, your carrier stops it from texting you, including future codes.
Your number
We use your number only to send the codes you ask for. We don’t sell it, and no mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. After verifying a number we keep only a keyed hash of it, not the number itself. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.
